Yesterday evening it became reality – we’ve made it! For a week we’ve been struggling through the Romanian Woods until we finally hit the finish line. Almost unscathed, too. And we had a great time: Of 10 amateur teams taking part we ended up being No. 6. – nothing to complain about. Today we took part in a final round through the city of Sibiu with loads of wood crossings and other sorts of chicanes. Plus an extra trial on the ground of a skyscraper building site. Liz couldn’t be asked to drive anymore but I decided to give it a go and take a round. After half a round “chicken driving” I gave up as I’ve seen other drivers falling of the ramps. Our team mates Eduromania 1 Uli and Floddy gained place No. 3 though. Congratulations! As our van is packed and everybody’s dolled up to go for a party we’re looking forward to the Rider’s Dinner. I will fill in more details once I’m back home.
