"Visiting Hell on two Wheels" – this was the headline of the article in Hamburg daily newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt. A quarter page with a big photo – I was impressed, not to say pleased. And, yeah, it was hell, at least concerning the temperatures we’ve suffered. For the first time I was seriously considering what the more “sweaty” guys used to do during the races – putting a sweat-absorbing napkin on top of my head and under the helmet.
